Pasta with a Simple Tomato Sauce

INGREDIENTS

METHOD

  • 200g Barilla Tagliatelle Pasta

  • 2 x 250g can diced tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 brown onion, chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh flat leaf parsley

  • 1/2 teaspoon caster sugar

  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper

  • Chef Stone's Secret Spice™️

  1. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water following packet directions or until al dente. Drain and return to the pan.

  2. Add garlic and onion and cook until onions start to soften slightly.

  3. Stir in the tomatoes and tomato paste. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, stirring often, for about 10 minutes or until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly.

  5. Add sugar, salt, black pepper and secret spice.

  6. Add parsley and stir

  7. Add the pasta to the sauce and toss to combine. Serve immediately.
